Very over-priced, though that's somewhat understandable given Mackinac City is a tourist town. However, our service was poor and we were stuck with and 18% tip because of a "large party," which was made up of 1/2 very young kids. The food was also quite mediocre according to all of teh adults in our party.

This has to be the best restaurant in Mackinaw City. The white fish is by far the best fish i ever had anywhere, its huge as well, fresh from Lake Michigan. Go early before the run out of the white fish, if they do the Walleye is a good substitute. Also if i could i would order a gallon of their clam chowder but u cant. I even called them to see if they would freeze some snd maul it to me. They laughed and saud no. Lol. The staff is always smiling and honest with u and know the area well if u are a tourist. Great Lake atmosphere as well. Big place.

This place is GROSS. My fiance and I were in town on vacation and this place was close by our hotel. I was hoping it would be one of those hole in the wall places with great food, but the food was disappointing at best. I should have left as soon as the smell of the place hit me on the way in. The place was extremely dated, poorly cleaned, and I barely touched my food. What a waste of vacation money.

We walked in one night and were greeted by a very rude dirty looking staff. The restaurant also smelled and appeared to be dirty. Then I read the reviews on here and everyone seemed to agree. So, we walked out and went to Audie's restaurant where we dined the night before. The people here were just rude and it was a horrible experience

Don't waste your time. The food is bad, service is lackluster and the price is laughable. You hope for something that you won't get here. It's not a charming local eatery with good food.

I've only been here for breakfast, the food is pretty good and comes out fast. The service is okay, they are friendly - just slow on things like checking on you after you've been given food and getting you your bill, neither of which bother me. Both times I've eaten here there was only one waitress serving the whole restaurant! I would recommend going here for breakfast, based on the previous reviews it's sounds like you'll get better food.

This restaurant IS NOT closed, but it should be because it's terrible. My moms steak ($15) and my "Admirals Feast" ($20-3 kinds of shrimp, fish, lobster tail) were all overcooked. I mean EXTREMELY overcooked. The veggies tasted like they were from a bag. Disgusting. Our server was nice, but she was overworked and had too many tables. It took us a long time to get our food and there were many parties who came after us but got their food before us. If we would have had to pay our bill: $35 + tax + tip, we would have complained. We had a restaurant.com coupon that knocked the bill down to $20 including tip, so we left it alone. I can only recommend this place if you use a restaurant.com coupon and are trying to dine in Mackinaw on the cheap. Otherwise, SKIP IT!
